Message from
the President

As a fine chemical company that accelerates the evolution of the industry, we aim for further growth together with all of you.
- Takashi Shuji,
- President
Since our founding in 1928, Sugai has continued to take on challenges and evolve for nearly a century, cultivating our own proprietary organic synthesis and production through a great deal of trial, error and progress. Today, we have established a contract manufacturing system based on the principle of “one product, one customer,” enabling us to accurately meet customer needs while supplying products across a wide range of fields, including intermediates for pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and functional materials, along with surfactants.
In recent years, we have also been actively engaged in developing our own proprietary products in order to respond to increasingly sophisticated and diverse market demands.
To ensure that we continue to evolve and grow in a responsible manner, we are placing a strong emphasis on sustainability initiatives. By promoting digital transformation (DX) and addressing climate change and other evolving social issues with precision, we strive to remain a company that continuously provides value to society. Going forward, while fulfilling our social responsibilities, we will continue to go beyond being merely an intermediate materials manufacturer and carry out our mission as a fine chemical company that accelerates the evolution of a wide range of industries.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support.
